With its jet-black fur, it can move unnoticed in the shadows and ambush its enemies from there. If an intruder gets too close, it will jump out of cover with its razor-sharp, extended claws and pounce on the surprised opponent. This often leads to a breathtaking chase, which the persevering jungle inhabitant can easily win. The dangerous shadow panther is particularly proud of its two thorn-studded liana tails: they help it to keep its balance even when jumping from great heights.
